Procedures/Strategies:

a. In the first bucket, make some mud using dirt and water

b. In the second bucket mix soap or bubble bath and water and put out some cleaning tools.

c. Put the animal figures in the bucket with the mud. Burry some deeper than others so children have to search for them with their hands.

d. Instruct children to find the animals in the mud, rescue them, and clean them.

e. Do this activity outside if it is a nice day and you are concerned about mess.

Guidance and Safety Considerations:

Be sure to pick a child friendly soap or bubble bath product so kids don’t get it in their eyes. If you are worried about mess, have children wear smocks.
