Canada Acrostic Poem

Activity Objective: To practice creative writing skills.
Materials Needed:
1. Paper
2. pens/pencils/markers
3. Optional: Canada Acrostic poem template from: http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/canada-acrostic-poem-printables
Procedures/Strategies:
a. Instruct children to write the word canada down the side of their paper in large letters (like below) or use the template at the source above.
b. Tell them that for each letter of the word Canada they should write either a sentence or a word that describes Canada.
c. Children should try to keep in mind Remembrance Day for this activity as well.
