Reused Tube Menorah Activity
Age: 1-3 IT
Secondary Age: 3-5 PSC/GD, 5-10 OSC
Curriculum Area: Art
Developmental Goal/Activity Objective: To practice creative art skills while learning about Hanukkah.
Materials Needed:
1. Toilet paper tubes
2. Yellow and orange tissue paper
3. Paint and brushes
4. Poster board
5. Glue
Procedures/Strategies:
a. Each menorah will require 9 toilet paper tubes and one poster board.
b. Glue the 9 toilet paper rolls to the poster board with liquid glue on one side. Make sure the middle tube is higher than the rest.
c. Put out paint and let children finger paint the tubes.
d. When the paint dries, crumple up tissue paper and push it into the tubes so that it sticks out like the flame of a candle.

Paint is messy, take necessary precautions.
