Activity Objective: To practice creative art, fine motor and sensory skills.

Materials Needed:

1. White paper

2. Different colours of paint

3. Black marker

Procedures/Strategies:

a. Put different colours of paint out on trays. 

b. Have children dip their fingers in the paint and then press it against the paper.

c. They may draw the string for the lights first or after they do the fingerprints. 

d. If they are younger, assist them with drawing the string of lights. 

e. They may make a pattern with the colours or place the lights randomly. 

f. You could even make this one big project in which everyone is working on the same sheet of paper and is assigned one colour to print.
