Winter Ice Fishing

Developmental Goal/Activity Objective: To practice gross motor and fine motor skills as well as hand-eye coordination.
Materials Needed:
1. Large box
2. White paper
3. Tape
4. Stick
5. String
6. magnets
Procedures/Strategies:
a. Draw (or print the template below) fish and cut them out. Glue magnets to them.
b. Tie a piece of string to a stick and glue a magnet to the end.
c. Wrap a large box in white paper and cut a hole on one side
d. Put the fish magnets inside.
e. Invite children to fish in the ice using their magnet fishing rod.
