Handprint Flowers Valentine’s Craft

Age: 1-3 IT

Secondary Age: 3-5 PSC/GD

Curriculum Area: Sensory, Art

Developmental Goal/Activity Objective: To practice creative art skills as well as those associated with the sense of touch.

Materials Needed:

Paint
Scissors
Markers
Glue

Procedures/Strategies:

Have children make handprints.
Paint flower stems
Cut out and glue the handprints at the end of the stems for the flowers.
Write a message, such as “Happy Valentine’s Day”
Let dry and display

Guidance and Safety Considerations:

Paint is messy, take necessary precaution.
