a. Give children each a paper plate, some grapes and toothpicks.
b. Instruct them to build a sculpture using only the toothpicks and the grapes.
c. For younger children, leave the activity open-ended like this. For older children you may leave the activity open, or give them a limit in their materials or time to create a challenge.
d. Let children eat the grapes too!
Be aware of any allergies. Make sure children build on their paper plates and their hands are clean before this activity so that they can eat their creations.
