Father’s Day Best Dad Trophy

Developmental Goal/Activity Objective: To practice creative art skills while showing appreciation for Father’s Day.

Materials Needed:
  1. Paper or styrofoam cup 
  2. Yellow construction paper 
  3. Yellow paint      
  4. Marker 
  5. Glue 
  6. Paintbrush 
  7. Scissors

Procedures/Strategies:
  1. THE FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS ARE TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE SOURCE SITE IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THE INSTRUCTIONS
  2. Paint the entire cup with yellow paint. Make sure to do the inside too. Set it aside to dry. 
  3. With yellow construction paper, cut out two handles for your trophy. Measure to make sure they fit nicely for the size of your cup. 
  4. Cut out a circle the size of the opening of your cup. 
  5. Use the black marker, write “World’s Best Dad” on your cup (once it is dry). 
  6. Clue the circle you made to the bottom of the cup. Glue a handle on each side of the writing.
  7. You can fill the cup with treats for dad, or pencils to use it as a pencil holder.
