Egg Carton Flowers

Secondary Age: 3-5 PSC/GD, 5-10 OSC
Curriculum Area: Art
Developmental Goal/Activity Objective: To develop fine motor and sensory skills while learning about different artistic techniques.
Materials Needed:
1. Egg cartons
2. Paint
3. Paint brushes
4. Straw
5. Pom poms
6. Glue
7. Scissors
Procedures/Strategies:
a. Cut egg cartons into pieces with 4 in a square. Trim the edges to make them round.
b. Put out paint and paint brushes and let children paint the inside of the egg cartons to create flowers.
c. Glue a pom pom to the centre.
d. Glue a straw to the back to make a stem.
