Invitation to Create Flowers
Age: 1-3 IT
Secondary Age: 3-5 PSC/GD, 5-10 OSC
Curriculum Area: Art, Fine Motor
Developmental Goal/Activity Objective: To practice creative skills while also learning about artistic techniques like collaging and geometric shapes.
Materials Needed:
1. Construction paper
2. Scissors
3. Glue
Procedures/Strategies:
a. Cut construction paper of various colours into different shapes and sizes (like pictured below). Older children can probably do the cutting for themselves.
b. Invite children to use the pieces to make a scene of flowers by gluing them onto a larger piece of construction paper.
