I Love You Because Mother’s Day Flowers
Age: 5-10 OSC
Curriculum Area: Social/Emotional
Activity Objective: To create a thoughtful Mother’s Day craft for moms.
Materials Needed:
1. Paper
2. Scissors
3. Glue
4. Markers
5. Straws, craft sticks or pipe cleaners
Procedures/Strategies:
a. Cut paper into semi-circles for the petals and a full circle for the centre.
b. On the centre of the flower have children write “Mom I love you because…”
c. On each petal children should write something they love about their moms.
d. Glue the pieces together.
e. Glue a craft stick, pipe cleaner, or straw to the back for the stem of the flower.
