Materials Needed:

1. Paper

2. Scissors

3. Glue

4. Markers

5. Straws, craft sticks or pipe cleaners

Procedures/Strategies:
  1. Cut out semi-circles for petals and a full circle for the center of the flower.
  2. On the center, children write: “Mom, I love you because…”
  3. On each petal, they write specific reasons they love or appreciate their mom.
  4. Glue petals around the center to form the flower.
  5. Attach a straw, pipe cleaner, or craft stick to the back as the stem.
